About Us

Who We Are

Founded in 1879, Inspirica Inc. is one of the largest providers of housing and support services in the state of Connecticut and the largest in Fairfield County. By serving those most in need, including families, women, those living with mental illness, HIV/AIDS, and individuals coping with substance use disorders, Inspirica is dedicated to the betterment of the Fairfield County community.

Each night, we house approximately 475 people, and each year, we serve more than 3,300 people.

We operate 12 facilities in lower Fairfield County and provide an extensive array of wrap-around services, including vocational training, workforce education, job placement, housing placement, job & housing retention support, early childhood & parenting programs, children’s services, senior services, case management, and much more.

We are one of only a handful of organizations in the nation that address the physical components of homelessness and housing insecurity and the underlying root causes on a single, powerful end-to-end platform.

Our Mission

Inspirica strives to end homelessness and housing insecurity by helping individuals and families achieve independence through support services and affordable housing.

Our Vision

A community where everyone has a stable, affordable home and hope for a bright future.

What Makes Us Unique

Scope of Housing

By operating emergency shelters, permanent supportive housing, deeply affordable housing, and rapid rehousing, we work across the spectrum of housing, allowing us to break the cycle of homelessness rather than provide only a temporary fix.

Our Comprehensive Approach

We address not just the physical component of homelessness (residential) but all the reasons a person becomes homeless (support services). Our ability to deliver comprehensive, integrated services is a key element of our success.

Scope of People We Serve

By serving single women, families, single men, people with mental illness and substance use disorders, and persons living with HIV/AIDS, we work across the spectrum of people who are homeless rather than with just one segment of those in need.

Our Focus On Results

We measure success not by how many people we serve but by the ultimate goal: how many people achieve - and maintain - permanent housing and stability in their lives.
